Blue Hill Data Services attended the NASCIO Mid-Year Conference this week at the MGM National Harbor Convention Center just south of Washington DC in Maryland. It was a great opportunity to discuss the challenges of managing mainframe and mid-range systems with several state CIOs and their senior staff. We enjoyed the keynote speeches, express talks, and learning lounges. State representatives were very willing to share their priorities with us at the many networking events incorporated into the conference. During the one-hour State Meet and Greet session on Monday we spoke briefly one-on-one with the senior IT leaders from a number of states. It was a very worthwhile conference to attend. Our appreciation goes out to Stephanie Dedmon – NASCIO President and everyone who worked to produce this fantastic event.
