Mark Deeming

Senior Director, Midrange Technical Services

Mark leads the Mid-Range Technical Services Department, specializing in iSeries/AIX support for AS/400 and Power systems in support of client mission-critical production business systems. Mark and his team also design and implements high availability disaster recovery backup solutions for supported client production profiles.

Prior to Blue Hill, Mark moved with his family from the UK in 2003 to work for Digica Inc., subsequently acquired by Blue Hill Data Services, as senior midrange technical consultant. In that capacity, he managed the U.S. iSeries technical team and provided pre-sales and planning support to the sales team.

In 1992, Mark was a senior technical support specialist at DCS eIntegration/CSI (a Digica sister company) where he provided pre-sales and consultancy to some of the largest iSeries customers in the UK. He was instrumental in the installation and support of the first iSeries high availability (HA) solutions in the UK.

Mark’s career in IT began with Grant Thornton accountants and consultancy firm where he was the operations team leader for their UK operations. He became an iSeries technician for GTOS, a leading IBM business partner in the UK specializing in image and workflow solutions.

Mark attended the IBM sales school and technical institute in La Hulpe, Belgium. In addition, he has presented at many IBM and technical related conferences and holds certifications for the IBM iSeries, IBM NETeam, and various networking and technical platforms.
