Chief Facilities Engineer
Joe manages Blue Hill’s data center facilities and engineering team ensuring critical infrastructure security and redundancy is maintained. Joe brings more than 30 years in-depth experience managing multiple data centers and complex large-scale fault tolerant infrastructure. He manages Blue Hill’s power infrastructure, Including installations, maintenance, and upgrades (UPS, Generator, HVAC and Fire Systems) for all Blue Hill Data Centers. He works closely with our Client Services and Service Delivery management teams to ensure infrastructure stability and security.
Prior to Blue Hill, Joe was head of the facilities organization at Infocrossing/Wipro. He was responsible for the management of the mission critical infrastructure at the company’s three data centers. He also headed up the expansion and build out of two of those centers, upgrading infrastructure and redundancy capabilities, while implementing ‘green’ initiatives.
Joe has deep experience in network and electrical engineering, fire safety and inspection. With Joe’s background in critical data center electrical installations, he was chosen as part of the planning review and inspection team for the building of the new Red Bull stadium in Harrison, NJ.
Joe holds a Master Electrician license, Electrical Inspectors license (HHS). He also had a 25 year career at the Harrison, NJ fire department, 17 of which was at the rank of Captain with a Fire Inspectors license.
